Hi, my name is Niklas, the head content creator & CEO of The Bedding Planet. I am very interested in health & well-being, where good sleep is one of the largest cornerstones.
Over the past decade I have learned that our sleeping environment has a huge impact on both the quality and quantity of our sleep. For that reason I decided to start The Bedding Planet, as a way to share what I learn with you, my fellow reader of this blog and in doing so hopefully help you sleep better as well.
My Life & Work Story
I am 30 years old and have been interested in fitness, health and well-being for almost a decade now. I run a website called Iron Built Fitness where I teach people how to lose body fat, build muscle and create a better looking and healthier body. I am also a certified personal trainer, health and nutrition consultant. My certifications are backed by the following institutions: (1), (2), (3), (4)
During my 10 years of experience with health and fitness I’ve learned a lot about the importance of sleep. Sleep is one of the biggest cornerstones when it comes to health, well-being and fitness, with the others being movement, diet and stress management.
Why I Started The Bedding Planet
One thing that specifically piqued my interest a couple years ago was the fact that our sleeping environment had such a huge impact on our sleep quality and quantity. Sleep is actually a sensory experience, meaning that sound, light, feel, smell and even taste will affect the quality of our sleep.
I’ve been changing a lot of things in me and my spouses bedroom over the past couple years that has dramatically improved both of our sleep. Everything from blacking out our windows better and adjusting the temperature to getting the correct pillows, mattress and bedding fabrics that we need to sleep our very best.
I decided to start this blog in an attempt to help you achieve better sleep just as we have. In the articles on this site you will find information both from my own experience and from knowledge gathered from experts in both the field of sleep and in the field of bedding environment/materials.
As you can see in our editorial policy, I do not write all of the articles myself, as I have a few authors that also write some of the articles, but who wish to stay anonymous for now. With that said, all articles written on this site goes through a tedious proofreading and editing process that ensures all articles posted on this site are accurate, original and of the highest quality.
